Sometimes when you visit a new place, you get to see crazy jaw dropping stuff. Wonky people, crazy customs. We also love to building crazy buildings that would render all speechless. And when the starts really align, we build in our image. it's just so bad it's good.
Burj Al Arabi - Only in Dubai...
Of course, the name is a blatant rip-off off the original Burj Al Arab.
A 140m high, 35-storey commercial building planned in Dubai that is designed a man dressed in traditional Arab dress. Named the Burj Al Arabi, it has 400,000 square
feet of built up area housing commercial offices and retail. The concrete and glass human-shaped building was set to book a place in the Guinness Book of World of Records. Thankfully, the project was torpedoed.
Now somehow doesn't that kind of look like a Lego Minifig?
Tianzi Hotel - Beijing, China
This 10-story building, standing at 46.1m holds the Guinness World Record for the "biggest image building". The 3 men featured are from chinese mythology, representing "good fortune, prosperity and longevity".
The top storey consists of a meeting room, the ninth is a "presidential suite" while the remaining floors consist of standard rooms. There is even a "longevity peach room", which is, guess? The peach! The windows to the rooms are hidden in the darken sleeves
It's so big you can even see it on google earth! Stop, and gawk.
Corpus Museum - Netherlands

Newly opened in 2008 by Queen Beatrix,it offers a variety of information and provides education and entertainment as well as a vast number of permanent and variable exhibitions.
Some other weird buildings
Sheep building, Tirau, New Zealand
A wool and craft shop in the shape of a corrugated iron sheep building. If it doesn't get any better, this little town has the tourist visitor center built in the shape of a sheepdog. Seriously....
Holiday Inn Resort Gagudju Crocodile, Jabiru, Australia
What better way to build when you are located in a national park than to build your building in the form of one of the animals found there? As seen from google earth, the entire development looks like a giant crocodile from the air. Apparently, it's very popular with the children. Now that's cool.
The Merlion, Singapore
A cheesy tourist trap of a mythical creature dreamt up by the tourist promotion board, it sucks in clueless tourists to it's open mouth to have a view of the surrounding area. Very, very cheesy
